IU Outdoor Adventures

IUOA is an outdoor recreation program that serves the Bloomington campus and surrounding community. If you love the great outdoors, IUOA is the place to get in gear for your next trip! You can rent or buy quality camping and hiking gear, organize a custom experience, take skills courses for college credit, climb our bouldering wall, or sign up for Adventure Trips. IUOA Coordinator Opening

After 6 years in the captain's chair, we wish Dustin Smucker farewell as he heads back to California to pursue other adventures. We thank him for his dedication to IUOA and his passion for educating our outdoor leaders.

IUOA is currently accepting applications for the position of Coordinator – Outdoor Programs. This person provides director-level supervision and management of IU’s outdoor adventure program. Requirements include a Master’s degree, multiple years of outdoor leadership and outdoor program administration, and a passion for working with others in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Canoe Canada 2014 

Before you go making any summer plans you should consider making the Canoe Canada trip a major part of your fun. 

We will be headed north again to Quetico Provincial Park in the famous boundary waters of Ontario, Canada. Pick up a canoe paddle and spend a week in some of the most beautiful wilderness your eyes will ever see. 

Activities will include several days of lake canoeing, cliff jumping, waterfall playing, wildlife spotting, fish catching, and belly laughing.
