The Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) is where all Hoosiers belong. In addition to our many dining options, IU Bookstore, and student services, the IMU offers key resources for Indiana University faculty, staff, and departments. The IMU is the perfect location to host retreats, conferences, and candidate meals.

The IMU has 27 spaces available for reservation. If an association you belong to is looking for a venue, consider the Indiana Memorial Union. With the Biddle Hotel located within the IMU, multiple dining and full-service catering options and front curb service to and from Indianapolis International Airport—the IMU is the perfect setting for hosting out-of-town colleagues for any conferences or other association-related gatherings. 

With the variety of event and meeting spaces, the IMU can provide you the venue you need for your next departmental retreat, meeting, interview, or conference.

Biddle Hotel

For candidates, guests, or you

The Biddle Hotel is located within the IMU and has 189 hotel rooms to complement our ample conference space and other amenities. The Biddle Hotel provides the perfect stay for any visitor who wants to stay in the heart of campus, just steps from downtown Bloomington. Whether you need a room block reservation for conference attendees or a single hotel room for a job candidate, make their stay in Bloomington both convenient and comfortable.

The Globe
A local treat right in the IMU! During weekday lunches, a different local Bloomington restaurant sets up shop on the second floor of the Union to offer their unique fare. Food varies from Turkish to Mexican to Indian, but it’s always delicious. 

Lantern
A Pan-Asian-style street kitchen featuring dishes such as chicken tikka masala, teriyaki chicken with broccoli, Thai wings, sushi, and a variety of savory Pan-Asian-inspired foods.

The Mix 
Build a salad on Grubhub and order a side of soup. 

Quarry Pie Co.
Our pizza is made fresh, on-site, and cooked to perfection in our fire oven. Pasta, meatballs, and salads are also available.

Starbucks
A quick and easy spot to grab a coffee or pastry before your conference, or even plan out a meeting strategy. Offering online ordering and carryout via Grubhub.

Tudor Room 
The Tudor Room is a beautiful and historic part of the IMU. It is open for lunch Monday through Friday and brunch on Sundays. It is an ideal location to hold a candidate meal or host a brunch for your conference. Have a big group? Reserve the adjacent Coronation Room.

Union Market
This market offers gift and necessity items, as well as pre-packaged, grab-and-go foods such as Sugar & Spice treats and The Chocolate Moose ice cream. Stop by the Union Market right across the hall from the Frangipani Room. 

Whitfield Grill
Burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, fries and more are available on the classic diner-inspired menu. It’s the best burger joint on campus.

Bowling and Billiards
Blow off some steam and bond with your team at IMU Bowling and Billiards. The IMU’s own recreation center has 12 bowling lanes, nine billiards tables, darts, and more! Whether you need one bowling lane or want to reserve the entire space, have your next team function at Bowling and Billiards!

IU Outdoor Adventures
In addition to offering adventure trips, courses, and gear rentals, IU Outdoor Adventures also facilitates team-building trainings for departments and student organizations on campus.
