IU Outdoor Adventures has a wide range of classes, trainings, clinics, and workshops to teach you the skills needed to have a fun and safe outdoor experience.  Designed for the beginner outdoor enthusiasts, our for credit classes, trainings, and workshops range in time, duration, activity, and skill set.  

SPH-W classes

Earn class credit while learning a new outdoor activity in our SPH-W classes. Offered by the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies in the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, our courses are designed to introduce you to the basics of many popular outdoor recreation activities.  Classes include Mountain Biking, Whitewater Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Backpacking, and many more.  

You can view SPH-W classes offered during the current and upcoming academic terms in the Office of the Registrar’s course browser.  You can register for an SPH-W course using the Student Center in One.IU during your regular registration appointment.
