The IU Outdoor Adventures (IUOA) Alumni Association fosters connections among Indiana University graduates who served as IUOA trip leaders and builds relationships between IUOA alumni and current trip leaders. It is an official affiliate of the IU Alumni Association.

IUOA Alumni Association Board

The IUOA Alumni Association is led by a volunteer board composed of IUOA alumni and staff. It meets twice each year.

IUOA Memorial Scholarship Fund

The IUOA Alumni Association established the IUOA Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor the memory of IUOA alumni Ryan Bullerdick and Nathan King. The fund provides a scholarship to a student active in IUOA who demonstrates financial need, strong academic performance, a commitment to volunteerism and community service, and evidence of leadership characteristics and qualities.

Eligibility guidelines

Candidates for the IUOA Memorial Scholarship must:

  • Be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at Indiana University Bloomington.
  • Have completed no fewer than 60 credit hours and must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of no less than 2.25.
  • Be a current member of IUOA in good standing, with no less than one academic year remaining.
  • Have exemplified a commitment to volunteerism and community service. Preference shall be given to candidates who exhibit current involvement in outdoor recreation and/or the environmental science field, financial need, and leadership characteristics and qualities.
